We are proud that Camila Marinho is a member of our Drexler Law family. Her extensive experience practicing family law both in the United States and internationally provides her clients with a distinct advantage and brings a thoughtful, well-rounded perspective to a wide range of domestic relations matters.

Camila Marinho is a licensed Colorado attorney who brings more than a decade of prior family law experience in Brazil to her practice at Drexler Law. Throughout her career, Camila has represented more than 500 clients in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, parenting time, parental relocation, child support, spousal maintenance, high-asset property division, adoption, and domestic violence cases.

Although Camila began her legal career in Brazil, the family disputes and legal issues she handled closely parallel those that arise in Colorado domestic relations courts. Her experience representing individuals and families through complex and emotionally challenging circumstances provides a strong foundation for her Colorado family law practice.

After relocating to the United States, Camila earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Colorado Law School. During law school, she volunteered with the Metro Volunteer Lawyers Family Law Clinic, assisting low-income individuals with divorce, child support, and spousal maintenance matters.

Camila also served as the International Attorneys Representative for the Latinx Law Students Association. She completed a judicial externship with Justice William W. Hood III of the Colorado Supreme Court, where she drafted legal memoranda analyzing petitions for certiorari and recommending whether the Court should grant or deny review. She also worked as a law clerk for an immigration law firm in Colorado Springs.

Having practiced family law in two countries, Camila has developed a distinctive perspective on the challenges families face during periods of conflict and transition. She has observed that, regardless of geography, families often confront remarkably similar concerns involving their children, finances, relationships, and futures.

That experience reinforces Camila’s commitment to providing practical, compassionate, and strategic representation. She understands that family law involves more than resolving legal disputes—it requires helping individuals make informed decisions during some of the most difficult and consequential periods of their lives.

Recognizing that every family has its own history, priorities, and challenges, Camila takes the time to understand each client’s circumstances and goals. She develops thoughtful legal strategies tailored to the needs of the individual client while providing clear guidance throughout the legal process.

Outside the office, Camila enjoys hiking, baking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
