Ashley Cubilette
Probate Attorney
Ashley is a California native who picked up the term “y’all” after relocating to Texas to join her husband during his military stationing in Houston. What started as a move across the country quickly became a calling to help individuals and families navigate some of life’s most difficult and emotional moments with compassion, clarity, and a little bit of humor when it is needed most.
Ashley earned her Juris Doctor in Houston and became licensed to practice law in Colorado as well as Texas. During law school, she focused her work on helping people through deeply personal challenges. As a student attorney, Ashley assisted clients impacted by the opioid crisis in obtaining divorces and other family law relief, experiences that reinforced her passion for advocacy and client-centered representation. She also became a certified mediator, sharpening her ability to resolve conflict thoughtfully while always keeping her clients’ goals front and center.
Ashley’s passion for probate law became personal after navigating a probate matter within her own family. That experience gave her firsthand insight into how overwhelming and emotional the legal process can feel and inspired her to help others approach those situations with confidence and support. Ashley later interned directly under a Probate Judge in Houston, where she gained invaluable courtroom and probate experience while also serving on several organizational boards during law school.
Ashley’s experience extends beyond legal training. Her personal exposure to domestic and probate matters allows her to genuinely connect with clients and understand the real-life stress, uncertainty, and emotions that often come with legal disputes. Clients appreciate Ashley’s approachable personality, honest communication, and ability to balance compassionate support with strong, strategic advocacy when it matters most.
As a military spouse for more than a decade, Ashley understands the unique challenges military families face and is passionate about helping families plan ahead and protect what matters most during times of transition and uncertainty.
Outside of the office, Ashley is a devoted animal advocate and regularly volunteers with local rescue organizations. Her love for rescue work began in 2021 when she adopted her English Bulldog, Zuzu, during her husband’s deployment — and yes, Zuzu absolutely runs the household. When she is not working, Ashley enjoys exploring local breweries, baking something sweet, spending time with family and friends, and winding down with a good book.
